Meet Rain

My name is Rain Jansen. I am an interdisciplinary creator working at the intersection of materials, technology, and ideas. I am driven by the challenge of bringing different disciplines together, where traditional materials meet contemporary solutions. Damascus steel, vegetable-tanned leather, wood, and technology are not separate worlds to me, but tools for creating new forms, functions, and experiences.

Every project begins with an idea and develops through experimentation, problem-solving, and attention to detail into something unique. I am inspired by the process of creation itself—the moment when a concept becomes a physical object or a working system. My work seeks a balance between aesthetics, functionality, and technical execution, resulting in pieces that combine the character of materials with the possibilities of technology.

Behind ANNREAL is Estonian designer Ann Müürsepp.

Ann Müürsepp is an Estonian designer whose creative journey began with a forgotten collection of leather discovered in her grandmother's home. That unexpected find inspired the creation of her first bag and shaped a design philosophy rooted in the belief that existing materials deserve a second life.

Working primarily with rescued leather, including deadstock, discontinued hides, and reclaimed upholstery leather, Ann selects materials for their character rather than their perfection. Natural marks, texture, and individuality are not flaws to be hidden, but meaningful traces that give every piece its own identity and story.

Her work is defined by clean forms, thoughtful details, and a timeless aesthetic. Every design reflects a careful balance between functionality, craftsmanship, and material honesty, creating objects made to be used, appreciated, and kept for years to come.
